LuxID human verification
Why does LuxID use human verification?
To maintain the integrity of the LuxID service and protect users, LuxID must prevent automated bots and bad actors from creating accounts. Human verification checks are used during account creation and in certain security-sensitive situations to confirm that you are a real person.
What verification methods does LuxID use?
LuxID may ask you to verify using one or more of the following methods:
- CAPTCHA - A visual or interactive challenge that is easy for humans but difficult for bots.
- Email verification - A confirmation link or code sent to the email address you provided during registration.
- SMS verification - A one-time code sent to your phone number via SMS.
LuxID uses automated checks to prevent abuse. The verification method you are asked to complete may vary, and is determined automatically. If you are a legitimate user, complete the check that is shown to continue.
Troubleshooting verification issues
If you are unable to complete the verification step:
- Try refreshing the page.
- Disable browser extensions that may interfere with the verification process.
- Try a different browser or device.
- If you are using a VPN, try disconnecting it temporarily or switching to a different server.
- If you cannot complete a visual challenge, look for an audio-challenge alternative if one is offered.
- If the problem persists, contact LuxID support.
If you cannot see or complete a visual challenge, look for an audio or alternative option within the challenge itself, or contact LuxID support and we will help you verify another way.
