Manage your addresses in your LuxID Account

Manage your addresses

You can add and manage postal addresses in your LuxID Account. These addresses may be shared with LuxID Partners when you consent to it during sign-in.

Supported countries

LuxID currently supports addresses in:

  • Luxembourg
  • France
  • Belgium
  • Germany

Addresses in other countries are not yet supported.

Add an address

  1. Go to your LuxID Account (opens in a new tab).
  2. Go to Account > Addresses.
  3. Click Add an address.
  4. Select the country: Luxembourg, France, Belgium, or Germany.
  5. Enter your address details. For Luxembourg addresses, LuxID validates that the address actually exists - you must enter a real, recognised address. For France, Belgium, and Germany, the form is free-text.
  6. Select the type: Residence, Work, or Other.
  7. Optionally, set it as your primary address.
  8. Click Save.

Having trouble with a Luxembourg address? If LuxID does not accept your Luxembourg address, make sure the street name, house number, and postal code match the official records. If the problem persists, contact LuxID support.

Update an address

note

You cannot edit an existing address directly. Add the new address first, then remove the old one.

To update an address:

  1. Add your new address first (see steps above).
  2. If needed, set the new address as your primary address.
  3. Remove the old address.

For an existing address, you can change:

  • The type (Residence, Work, or Other)
  • Whether it is set as your primary address

Remove an address

  1. Go to your LuxID Account (opens in a new tab).
  2. Go to Account > Addresses.
  3. Find the address you want to remove.
  4. Click Remove.

How addresses are shared

Your addresses are stored in your LuxID Account and are always visible to you at account.luxid.lu (opens in a new tab). They are private by default - LuxID does not share them with anyone on its own.

When a LuxID Partner requests a postal address during sign-in, you decide whether to share one, and you can choose which of your saved addresses to share. Nothing is shared without your consent.
