Your personal information

Your LuxID Account can hold basic personal information about you. This information is optional from LuxID's point of view - you can leave any field empty. However, some LuxID Partner services may require certain details to work properly, in which case you will be asked to complete your profile when you first connect to that service.

What information you can set

Go to account.luxid.lu (opens in a new tab) > Account > Personal Information. You can view and update the following:

• Given name (first name)
• Surname (last name)
• Date of birth
• Gender

All fields are optional. You can fill them in at any time or leave them blank.

How your information is shared with LuxID partners

Your personal information is only shared with LuxID Partner services with your explicit consent. Here is how it works:

1. When you connect to a LuxID Partner for the first time, you are shown a consent screen listing what information the partner is requesting.
2. You choose whether to allow or deny sharing each piece of information.
3. Only the information you consent to is shared with that partner.

If a partner requires information that you have not yet filled in (e.g., your date of birth), you will be asked to complete your profile during the connection process.

tip

You can review which partners you are connected to at account.luxid.lu (opens in a new tab) > Applications. From there, you can revoke a partner's access at any time.

Updating your information

When you update your personal information in your LuxID Account, the changes apply to future interactions with LuxID Partners. Partners that have already received your information may retain the version they received - contact the partner directly if you need them to update their records.

To update your information:

1. Go to account.luxid.lu (opens in a new tab).
2. Go to Account > Personal Information.
3. Edit the fields you want to change.
4. Save your changes.
