Recover a recently deleted LuxID Account

If you have deleted your LuxID Account, it cannot be recovered. This page explains what that means and how to start using LuxID again if you need to.

A deleted account cannot be restored

Once your LuxID Account has been deleted, it cannot be restored, and signing in again will not bring it back. As part of the deletion, your personal data is removed from LuxID.

LuxID keeps only the limited information it is legally required to retain - for example, records needed to meet legal or regulatory obligations. This information is not an active account and is not used to restore access.

See Delete your LuxID Account for what happens to your data when you delete.

To use LuxID again, create a new account

If you want to use LuxID after deleting your account, you will need to create a new LuxID Account (opens in a new tab). A new account starts fresh: it will not be linked to the LuxID Partner services you used before, so you may need to set those connections up again, and for some services you may need to contact the partner directly. For step-by-step instructions on creating an account, see Create a LuxID Account.

If you did not delete your account

If you have not deleted your account but cannot sign in - for example you forgot your password, lost access to your 2-Step Verification, or your account was blocked - it has not been deleted, and you can get back in. See How to recover your LuxID Account instead.
