Forget a remembered device

When you sign in and choose Remember me, LuxID remembers that device so you do not have to sign in (or complete 2-Step Verification) every time. You can review these remembered devices and forget any you no longer use or recognise.

Forget a device

1. Go to account.luxid.lu (opens in a new tab) > Security.
2. Under Devices, open My devices.
3. Find the device you want to forget, then select the option to forget it.

Once a device is forgotten, it is no longer remembered: the next time you sign in on it, you will need to enter your credentials again - and your second step, if you use 2-Step Verification.

Forgetting a remembered device is not the same as ending an active session. It removes the device from your remembered ("Remember me") devices, but it does not close a session that is already open elsewhere, such as in a mobile app.

When to forget a device

• You chose Remember me on a device that is not yours, or on a shared computer.
• You no longer use a device, or you sold or lost it.
• You see a device in the list that you do not recognise.
