Stay signed in or signed out of your LuxID Account
Stay signed in
If LuxID keeps signing you out unexpectedly, try the following steps:
- Make sure cookies are enabled in your browser. Some antivirus or privacy software may delete cookies automatically.
- Clear your browser cache. Note: Clearing cookies will also remove saved settings for other websites you have visited.
- Update your browser to the latest version.
- Check browser extensions. Some privacy or security extensions may interfere with staying signed in. Try disabling them temporarily.
- Avoid private/incognito mode. Sessions in private browsing windows are not preserved after the window is closed.
Stay signed out
When you sign in to your LuxID Account on a LuxID Partner application, you will stay signed in until you explicitly sign out or your session expires.
If you are using a public computer or someone else's device:
- Use your browser's private or incognito mode.
- When you are done, close all private browsing windows. You will be automatically signed out.
- If you did not use private mode, make sure to sign out manually before leaving the device.
Sign out of a device you no longer have access to
If you signed in on a device that you no longer have access to (for example, a lost phone or a borrowed computer):
- Change your LuxID password immediately at the password reset page (opens in a new tab).
- Sign in to your LuxID Account (opens in a new tab) and review your security settings under Security.
- If you need further help, contact LuxID support.
Tips for shared devices
- Never save your LuxID password in a browser on a shared or public device.
- Always sign out when you are finished.
- Consider using a password manager on your personal devices only. See Password managers for recommendations.
