Temporarily cannot log in to LuxID

Why am I temporarily blocked?

LuxID's security systems defend against unauthorised access attempts. When substantial suspicious activity is detected from a particular network or location, LuxID may temporarily block sign-in attempts to protect your account.

If you are temporarily blocked, your account is still active and secure. The block is a precautionary measure.

Why did this happen to me?

Being temporarily blocked does not necessarily mean you personally did anything wrong. The most common reasons include:

  • Shared network abuse - Someone on the same network as you (such as a public Wi-Fi, VPN, or corporate network) committed malicious activity.
  • Too many sign-in attempts - Multiple failed sign-in attempts in a short time (e.g., entering the wrong password repeatedly).
  • VPN or Tor usage - Anonymisation services are frequently used by malicious actors, so connections from these networks are subject to stricter security checks.

What can I do to sign in?

If this is you and you were not doing anything wrong, try again later. If you are still blocked, contact LuxID support.

How to prevent this in the future

  • Make sure you are not unknowingly the source of suspicious traffic (e.g., malware on your device). Keep your devices and software up to date.
  • Avoid using networks that are frequently associated with abuse (such as free public VPN services).
  • If you have trouble remembering your password, consider using a password manager to avoid repeated failed sign-in attempts.

Still cannot sign in?

If the temporary block does not lift after a reasonable period, contact LuxID support.
